Sales Executive

We have an immediate opportunity for a Sales Executive to be responsible for establishing new client relationships, as well as expanding existing client in a specific industry vertical/industry at a national or regional level. This individual will be responsible for: selling waste solutions, building account strategies, identifying and developing leads, setting appointments, conducting account research, leading sales calls, and creating relationships that lead to new business opportunities for BioHiTech.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship. Gather, analyze, and apply business and industry knowledge to understand a client’s business.
  • Company Knowledge: Understand BioHiTech and its people, processes, and solutions; through knowing the Company and exemplifying our vision and values, describing our products and solutions, and optimizing our resources and technology.
  • Individual Effectiveness: Drive business results by leveraging and expanding their personal capabilities and qualities, including initiative, decision-making, planning, and resilience.

Role Competencies

  • Must be a comfortable in a “hunter” role
  • Must be experienced in cultivating relationships at all levels including C-level executives
  • Experience in selling environmental services strongly preferred
  • Proven experience utilizing consultative sales skills selling solutions and value
  • Expected travel is 50% or more
  • A strong understanding of the sales cycle required to sell large multi-location accounts
  • Highly self motivated
  • Demonstrated successes in medium and long business service sales cycles
  • Experience utilizing sales tools to manage weekly activities and pipeline
  • Superior interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Positive attitude, ambitious, motivated
  • Flexible and adaptable, effective “problem solver” comfortable with high growth environments
  • Independent self-starter with a strong commitment to teamwork
  • Comfortable learning new technology and explaining value to business audiences
  • Commercially-minded and comfortable with data analyses

Required Education & Experience

  • College degree preferred
  • 6 to 10 years proven business-to-business outside sales experience in Fortune 1000 sized companies
